"What I've always found good about pop is that it makes the listener feel at ease and this is a great thing. Pop welcomes, it doesn't judge, it doesn't pose barriers or distances. It's popular, anyone is able to interpret the music that is receiving, without having to have specific training. Pop is simply powerful and democratic. Letting pop be the prerogative of the most conventional realities, often trivial and certainly functional to the system in which we live, is a primarily political and then an artistic mistake. Why not convey through pop, refined aesthetic sounds and profound and introspective reflections that we all need? What has Battiato's work left as a legacy?"

I'm very happy to announce some new gigs added to the tour of FLARE. I will meet new people and new places and I am really excited about it!

The gigs in Sardinia are close, if you happen to be there, do not miss them because they will be very beautiful and suggestive.

I am also very happy about the dates in Egypt, a land that I have never yet visited. Playing is allowing me to get to know different cultures and this is a great fortune of my job.
